Advocacy

There are 629 Area Agencies on Aging nationwide. Our primary role is to advocate on behalf of older Americans to maintain their independence and dignity. National, State, and Local Governments together with the AAA’s work to develop comprehensive and coordinated systems of service within their designated locations. Another primary role is to administer the Older Americans Act’s programs and generate resources for services to older persons and their caregivers.
